Visit Haiti
Getting to Know the Country and Its People
We offer immersion-retreat visits to Haiti that run from five to 10 days. During these supervised stays, travelers are hosted at the Norwich Mission House. During the day, they visit orphanages, schools, clinics and other sites supported by Haitian Ministries. Often, visitors are taken to other programs and projects that have become friends of our agency over the years. Trips to the countryside are usually included.
We try to give visitors a glimpse into the lives of the Haitian people, so that they can begin to know their culture, their faith and their way of life.
We invite speakers to talk to our guests on different topics, including: justice and peace, politics, religion, language, and culture in Haiti.
Each day is filled with new experiences and with meeting people who you will remember long after leaving Haiti.
